Telangana CM Sri KCR has decided to name the new Telangana Secretariat, which is under construction, after Dr. Bababsaheb Ambedkar: Telangana CMO

Telangana: CMO:

Telangana CM Sri KCR has decided to name the new Telangana Secretariat, which is under construction, after world-renowned intellectual, chief architect of Indian Constitution, Bharat Ratna Dr. Bababsaheb Ambedkar.

CM exhorted the Chief Secretary to take necessary action in this regard.

It is a proud moment for people of Telangana as State’s administration headquarters – the Secretariat – is being named after India’s social philosopher and intellectual of highest order Dr. BR Ambedkar.

This decision is exemplary for India the CM said

Telangana State would not have been a reality if not for the vision of Dr. Ambedkar behind Article 3 of the Constitution. We are providing administration with a human touch for SC, ST, BC, Minority and Women sections, including the EWS, in the light and spirit of Constitution.

Telangana, which has become a model State for the rest of the country with its comprehensive development programmes across the sectors, once again sets an example by naming the Secretariat after Dr. BR Ambedkar.

Telangana Legislative Assembly has recently passed a unanimous resolution requesting the Union Government to name the new Parliament building after Dr. BR Ambedkar. This will enhance the reputation of India in the comity of nations, the CM said

I will soon write to the Prime Minister Sri Narendra Modi Ji with a request to consider the demand of Telangana Govt. to name the new Parliament building after Dr. BR Ambedkar.

Leaving for Samarkand, Uzbekistan to attend the SCO Summit… : PM Narendra Modi

PM Narendra Modi:

Leaving for Samarkand, Uzbekistan to attend the SCO Summit, which will witness exchange of views on a wide range of regional and global issues.

I will be visiting Samarkand at the invitation of President of Uzbekistan H.E. Mr. Shavkat Mirziyoyev to attend the Meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).

At the SCO Summit, I look forward to exchanging views on topical, regional and international issues, the expansion of SCO and on further deepening of multifaceted and mutually beneficial cooperation within the Organization.

Under the Uzbek Chairship, a number of decisions for mutual cooperation are likely to be adopted in areas of trade, economy, culture and tourism.

I also look forward to meeting President Mirziyoyev in Samarkand. I fondly recall his visit to India in 2018.   He also graced the Vibrant Gujarat Summit as its Guest of Honour in 2019. In addition, I will hold bilateral meetings with some of the other Leaders attending the Summit.

Although, today is a rest day for Bharat Jodo Yatra, the Bharat Yatris have been busy since 9 am, assembled into 9 groups, reviewing past week: Jairam Ramesh

Jairam Ramesh – MP, General Secretary, Congress:

Although, today is a rest day for Bharat Jodo Yatra, the Bharat Yatris have been busy since 9am, assembled into 9 groups, reviewing past week.

They’ll discuss till 11 am & then get together at night to plan for next 7 days.

Rahul Gandhi is also unwinding and reflecting on the Yatra

In the midst of the Bharat Jodo Yatra and the assembly session, they have again issued me an ED summon to appear: DK Shivakumar

DK Shivakumar – President, Karnataka Congress:

In the midst of the Bharat Jodo Yatra and the assembly session, they have again issued me an ED summon to appear.

I am ready to cooperate but the timing of this summon and the harassment I am put through, is coming in the way of discharging my constitutional and political duties.

The success of Bharat Jodo Yatra opens up the possibility of a similar East-to-West Padyatra next year: Jairam Ramesh

Jairam Ramesh – MP, General Secretary, Congress:

The Padyatra will continue for 18 days in Kerala, followed by its next leg in Karnataka.

This is the longest Padyatra ever undertaken in a democracy.

We’re going to be taking a break after completing a week of the Yatra.

Bharat Jodo Yatra is going from South to North. 5 routes were considered before reaching a consensus. We finalised the route after considering all the concerns including the security of Shri Rahul Gandhi.

If anyone says that the Yatra is not going through the states where Congress is fighting BJP, it holds no relevance.

Yatra is also passing through a state which is being ruled by the A-team of the BJP. In that state, we’re fighting the BJP indirectly.

Economic inequality, social polarisation and political over-centralisation are tearing India apart. Bharat Jodo Yatra is a response to BJP’s Bharat-Todo agenda.

One of the outcomes of the Bharat Jodo Yatra will be the strengthening of Congress party.

We aim to mobilise block, district and state-level workers. The enthusiasm & support from the public have gripped the Congress party.

Shri Rahul Gandhi is not making public speeches. This Yatra is not Mann ki Baat Yatra. The idea of Bharat Jodo Yatra is to listen and engage with farmers and common people en route.

The success of Bharat Jodo Yatra opens up the possibility of a similar East-to-West Padyatra next year. The padtyatra will transform the Indian politics as well as strengthen the Congress.

The BJP is busy with Bharat-Todo agenda. At the same time it continues to attack Bharat Jodo Yatra everyday.

Their bid to divert attention from the historic Padyatra won’t work.

Bharat Jodo Yatra is not aimed at showing opposition unity. It is meant to strengthen the Congress party. Without a strong Congress you cannot have opposition unity. We will not allow any party to weaken the Congress.

Those who are vulnerable to investigating agencies will join the BJP. A classic example to prove this fact is the Assam CM. BJP used to attack him on a daily basis when he was in Congress. Now, there’s not even a single case against him.

We did make a mistake in letting the new BJP joinees in Goa enter the Congress. Now they’ve entered BJP washing machine. People will be pressured to leave.

If someone leaves the Congress party after enjoying power, there will be dozens of young loyal party workers who are waiting for positions of authority.

PM Modi first said there’s no Chinese incursion. Now, the government claims Chinese troops have started to withdraw from the points of friction.
