Happy to have met the proponents of Charyapad today… In Charyapad tradition, it is believed that one can achieve Nirvana/Enlightenment: Himanta Biswa

Himanta Biswa – CM, Assam:

Happy to have met the proponents of Charyapad today, who were in Assam for a workshop on their beautiful tradition, which is a symbolic form of art and involves practising Vajrayana Buddhism song & dance.

It is a thriving tradition in Nepal & Bangladesh as well as in West Bengal.

In Charyapad tradition, it is believed that one can achieve Nirvana/Enlightenment.

However, owing to certain reasons, it has nearly vanished from its place of origin – Assam.

We shall try our best to revive this art-form in our state.

MLA Dr. Paramananda Rajbongshi also joined.

Clearly the protests have hit home! : Jairam Ramesh

Jairam Ramesh – MP, General Secretary, Congress:

Home Minister has made a desperate attempt to divert, distract, polarise and give a malicious twist to today’s democratic protests of Congress against price rise, unemployment & GST.

It’s only a sick mind which can produce such bogus arguments.

Clearly the protests have hit home!

It can’t be a coincidence that Congress, without any pretext or reason, organised protests on the same day, both in 2021 and now again in 2022: Amit Malviya

Amit Malviya – BJP leader:

Prime Minister did shilanyas of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya on 5th August 2020.

It can’t be a coincidence that Congress, without any pretext or reason, organised protests on the same day, both in 2021 and now again in 2022.

This is nothing but appeasement.

Bharat Bill Payment System to be open to NRIs as well: RBI

RBI via PIB:

The repo rate, the rate at which RBI lends money to commercial banks, has been hiked by one half of a percent.

Considering the prevailing adverse global environment, resilience in domestic economic activity, uncomfortably high inflation level, the RBI has hiked the policy repo rate by 50 basis points, to 5.40%.

The Monetary Policy Committee of the RBI came to this judgement since it felt the need to keep inflation and inflationary expectations under check.

“Sustained high inflation could destabilize inflation expectations and harm growth in the medium term”, the RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das said, delivering the Monetary Policy Statement online.

The Governor’s address can be watched here: https://youtu.be/2VXCSN9Ypes.

Additional Measures

Bharat Bill Payment System to be open to NRIs as well

The Bharat Bill Payment System (BBPS), an interoperable platform for standardized bill payments, will now be able to accept cross-border inward bill payments. This will thereby enable NRIs as well to use the system to pay their bills for utility, education and other such services, on behalf of their families in India. This will thus greatly benefit senior citizens.

Credit Information Companies to be brought under Reserve Bank Integrated Ombudsman Scheme (RB-IOS) 2021

To make the RB-IOS more broad-based, Credit Information Companies (CICs) are being brought under the RB-IOS framework. With this, we get a cost-free alternative mechanism for redressal of grievances against Credit Information Companies.

Further, these companies will now need to have their own internal Ombudsman (IO) framework. The Governor informed that this will strengthen the internal grievance redress mechanism by CICs themselves.

Pineapples worth Rs 30 Lakh exported to Dubai, UAE for the first time from Manipur : Biren Singh

Dr Biren Singh, CM, Manipur :

Pineapples worth Rs 30 Lakh exported to Dubai, UAE for the first time from Manipur. This consignment would have made only Rs 4 lakh in domestic market.

Over the last 5 years, we have been able to export organic products worth over Rs 137 Cr.

By facilitating the farmers with logistics and other support the farmers are able to sell their produce at a good price now.

About 38000 organic farmers are benefiting from various support provided by the Govt. Well done Manipur Organic Mission Agency (MOMA)
