  • It’s a historic day today when the Khalsa Panth responded in one voice to the call given by religious Parliament of Sikhs – SGPC, on the direction of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, for the common cause of release of Bandi Singhs (Sikh Prisoners).

  • These Bandi Singhs have been languishing in jails far beyond their sentenced term. They are there not because of anything they do for personal gain but out of pure religious sentiments

  • With the blessings of great Guru Sahiban, Khalsa Panth today showed complete unity in the struggle for their release.

  • As a humble Sikh & mukh sevadar of Akali Dal I feel grateful to all Sikh leaders who made today’s historic Panthic Convention a reality.

  • It is amusing to see the Congress sound all sanctimonious on the proposed relook at the Sedition Law, when it is them who misused it all these years with impunity.

  • It is to PM Modi’s credit, who has done away with several colonial laws, and has asked for a reassessment of this…

  • Supreme Court directive allowing those, currently booked under the Sedition Law, to apply for bail doesn’t imply that all of them will get bail.

  • Some of them, who were conspiring to break India, have been booked under multiple stringent provisions and will have to face the law…

  • In 1962, a five judge bench had upheld the Sedition Law. Jawaharlal Nehru was the Prime Minister.

  • A three judge bench of the Supreme Court looking into the matter couldn’t have overruled it had GoI, on the instruction of PM Modi, not filed an affidavit seeking time to reassess…
