The Ministry of Health & Family Welfare in close collaboration with the Ministry of External Affairs and Ministry of Civil Aviation and Ministry of Home Affairs is lending all support possible in evacuating Indians from Ukraine.
Union Ministry of Health & Family Welfare has revised mandatory International Travel Guidelines and on humanitarian grounds has allowed the following exemptions in the advisory for international travelers:
Indian nationals not fulfilling either of the mandatory requirements (pre-boarding negative RT-PCR test report or fully vaccinated certificate) as laid down in the present ‘Guidelines for International Arrivals’ have been exempted from uploading these documents on Air-Suvidha Portal before departure to India.
Further, individuals who have completed their COVID-19 vaccination (irrespective of the country of departure/vaccination) have been allowed to leave the arrival airport in India with the advice to self-monitor their health for the next 14 days.
In case a traveler is not able to submit a pre arrival RT PCR test or who has not completed their Covid-19 vaccination, they have been allowed to submit their samples on arrival with the advice to continue to self-monitor their health for 14 days after arrival in India. If tested positive they shall be clinically managed as per laid down protocol.
Large diasporas of Indian Nationals (mainly students) have found themselves embroiled in the political turmoil being faced by the country. Direct evacuation of these stranded Indians through flights could not be carried out in view of the Notice to Airmen or Notice to Air Missions (NOTAM) issued in Ukraine. Accordingly, Indian missions in Poland, Romania, Slovakia and Hungary have been making arrangements to get Indian nationals from Ukraine and fly them out of their respective countries under Operation Ganga Flights.
As on 28th February 2022 (till 12:00 Hrs), 5 flights (one in Mumbai and four in Delhi) carrying Indians from Ukraine have arrived in India carrying a total of 1156 passengers with none of the passengers kept under isolation so far.

PM Narendra Modi addresses the webinar on vision of PM Gati Shakti and its convergence with Union Budget 2022 :
To fulfil the dreams of 21st century India, PM Gati Shakti will enhance the infrastructural fervour of New India.
PM Gati shakti will not only lead to rapid infrastructure development but also generate employment.
With PM Gati Shakti, we will be able to optimally utilise our resources.
From National Highway, Railway, Airway, Waterway, Optical Fibre, Gas grid to RE, the govt has increased investment in various sectors. We are focused on synergizing planning, development and monitoring plans for better infrastructural development.
A new scheme, Prime Minister’s Development Initiative for North- East, PM-DevINE, will fund infrastructure, in the spirit of PM Gati Shakti, and social development projects based on the needs of the North-East.
The scope of PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan will further reduce the compliance burden.
To strengthen cooperative federalism, the Government has decided to help state governments with allocation of ₹1 lakh crore. State governments can use this to develop multimodal infrastructure.
Unified Logistics Interface Platform (ULIP) will reduce logistics cost and time, assisting just-in-time inventory management, and in eliminating tedious documentation.
Technology will also play a major role in PM Gati Shakti. We have to find ways to construct quality infrastructure that are not only cost-effective but also disaster resilient.
PM GatiShakti Masterplan has more than 400 layers of dataplan. This helps in getting information for both existing and planned infrastructure.

PM Narendra Modi addresses the post-budget webinar on Aatmanirbhar Defence Sector:
In the last few years, India’s defence sector has been heading towards self-reliance.
We should have our own customised unique system in order to become ‘unique’ having a ‘surprise element’. It will only be possible if we start manufacturing our defence equipment in India.
We are building an ecosystem with integrated research and ease of doing business to build innovative defence equipments that can empower the ‘Make In India’ vision & our defence forces..
Today when our defence sector utilizes make in India equipment, their confidence and pride reaches new heights.
Today the defence equipments are being rapidly made worldwide with the latest technological advancements. Hence, we should tap India’s IT sector to scale our ‘Make In India’ vision of the defence sector.
Earlier we had introduced 7 ordnance factories as PSUs to expand the Indian defence fleet and today India is supplying ‘Made in India’ defence equipment to over 75 countries..
We have opened new possibilities for India’s private sector to scale India’s defence, drone & other prominent industries for the development of our nation and make it more independent & vibrant.
In the last 5-6 years, India has grown its defence export by 6 times. Today we are providing made in India defence and services to 75 countries.
