Sukhbir Singh Badal – President, Akali Dal:
The recovery of Rs 11 cr from the residence of CM Charanjit Channi’s nephew by ED is just the tip of iceberg.
Channi has looted hundreds of crores by engaging in corrupt deals. Punjabis would hold him accountable for his corrupt deals & next SAD- BSP govt would take him to task.
The release papers of Prof Devinder Pal Bhullar had been rejected thrice by the AAP govt in Delhi reflecting their anti-panthic mindset. Punjabis can never trust this party of outsiders to safeguard their interests.
Akali Dal is already proceeding towards a complete majority, all genuine opinion makers are convinced that it’s the SAD-BSP alliance which will form govt in Punjab. Both Cong & AAP are destined to be wiped out. We wholeheartedly welcome the support of Democratic Bharatiya Lok Dal.
Highly productive discussion with Dr. N. Panchanatham, VC of Tamil Nadu Teachers Edu Univ & the team working on Delhi Teachers University.Manish Sisodia – Dy CM, Delhi

Narendra Modi, Prime Minister :
At a time when the entire nation is marking the 125th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, I am glad to share that his grand statue, made of granite, will be installed at India Gate. This would be a symbol of India’s indebtedness to him.
Till the grand statue of Netaji Bose is completed, a hologram statue of his would be present at the same place.
I will unveil the hologram statue on 23rd January, Netaji’s birth anniversary.
PM Narendra Modi inaugurates the new circuit house located near the Somnath Temple worth over ₹30 crore, to enhance & ease the facilities for lakhs of devotees visiting the temple every year :
The new Circuit House will become a centre point of tourism. The landscaping has been done in such a manner that sea view is available from every room.
The circumstances in which the Somnath temple was destroyed, and the circumstances in which the temple was renovated by the efforts of Sardar Patel, both have a big message for us as we celebrate Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.
Somnath is the epitome of faith and culture that is visited by over one crore pilgrims every year, taking along new thoughts & experiences.
With improved transport facilities, promenades, parking & tourist facilitation centre, waste management facilities reflect our efforts towards strengthening our tourist facilities for people.
Every state has unique tourist spots reflecting our culture with a plethora of experiences waiting to be unlocked by the tourists; right from Kedarnath in Uttarakhand to Sabrimala temple in Kerala that represents Ek Bharat Shretha Bharat.
Transport facility, waste management, parking facilities, tourist facilitation centre are some of the areas where Somnath has witnessed development.
In the last seven years, we have worked towards the development of our heritage sites with the support of ‘Jan Bhagidari’ & participation from the private sector to enhance the ‘Atulya Bharat’ experience.
Today, the development of tourist centres is not just a part of government scheme, but a campaign of public participation. The development of our cultural heritage is a great example.
These 4S are essential to boost our tourism sector:
2. Suvidha: i.e increased facilities, be it infrastructure or transport.
3. Samay: People want to cover many places in lesser time
4. Soch: We need new innovative thinking that is also rooted in our cultural heritage

Kanchan Gupta, Senior Adviser, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, GOI :
A lot of ill-informed, media-driven misinformation is circulating regarding the flame of the ‘Amar Jawan Jyoti’. The flame of the ‘Amar Jawan Jyoti’ is NOT being extinguished. It is being MERGED with the eternal flame which honours fallen soldiers at National War Memorial.
The flame at India Gate paid homage to martyrs of 1971 and other wars but none of their names is inscribed there. Names inscribed on India Gate are of only some martyrs who fought for the British in World War I and Anglo Afghan War. It was a symbol of India’s colonial past.
The names of all Indian martyrs from all the wars, including 1971 and wars before and after, are housed at the National War Memorial. Hence it would be a true shraddhanjali to have the flame paying tribute to our fallen soldiers there.
It is ironic that people who did not bother to build a National War Memorial for 7 decades are now raising a hue and cry, pandered by click-bait media, when a permanent and fitting tribute is being made to honour India’s soldiers who fell on the battlefield.
Amit Malviya, In-charge of BJP’s National Information & Technology Dept :
Names inscribed on India Gate, where Amar Jawan Jyoti was, are of those who fought World War 1 and Anglo Afghan War for the Britishers not those who fell in 1971 and subsequent wars.
The National War Memorial War is where they have been honoured hence decision to merge the flame.

Rahul Gandhi, Former Congress President:
It is a matter of great sadness that the immortal flame that used to burn for our brave soldiers will be extinguished today.
Some people cannot understand patriotism and sacrifice – never mind…
We will once again light the Amar Jawan Jyoti for our soldiers!
A Guru will put you into your Self, make you reach the goal – not just tell you some techniques and show you some path :
